The
Marengo Area
Schools Education Foundation was established in 1992 by a group of
private
citizens interested in providing the means to enrich and enhance
educational
programs and opportunities for our elementary and high school students.
The
foundation has
established an endowment fund which seeks and receives funds from a
variety or
sources. Parents, educators, individuals from the community,
civic, and
social organizations, corporations, financial institution and service
and
retail businesses have all made contributions - both large and small -
to the
Foundation. All are significant and greatly appreciated.
In
education, good is
never good enough. Nothing short of excellence in education
will prepare
today's students for the challenges which await then in the years
ahead.
The Foundation has been established to enhance educational programs in
all of
the schools which comprise District #154 (Marengo Community High
School),
District #165 (Hawthorn, Evergreen Park, and
